My favorite Australian cities:
Melbourne
I love Melbourne. We were here for about six weeks and stayed in the downtown area. If you ever get the chance to visit, be sure to find the "best cup of coffee in the world" at Patricia's.
Sydney
Rasmus was raised in the Sydney area, and his parents both played in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. I made it to every landmark - I also found out that 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney... is not an address...
Cairns
This should be on everyone's bucketlist; this is one point of entry for the Great Barrier Reef. We spent a beautiful day on the reef. If you ever get the chance, go!
Hobart
The first place I ever visited in Australia was Hobart, home of the Tasmanian devil. This is a beautiful island off the southern coast, and a don't miss.
Our Australian Tour
We weren't supposed to be in Australia. In 2020, due to COVID, our New Zealand team was displaced for six months, and we moved around Australia. We lived in Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, Adelaide, Launceston, and Hobart.
Rasmus's second home is Australia. He was raised there from age two to 12 and still holds citizenship there. Being able to return was somewhat of a homecoming and a huge joy for both of us.
The Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,300 kilometers. The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
