Rasmus Bach

Rasmus (also known as "RAZ") and I started dating in 2016 and tied the knot on June 1, 2019. We met in college in Durango, Colorado—both DII athletes, crossing paths through sports, mutual friends, and a few very flirty interviews (I was the campus sports anchor, and he was the basketball star). The Durango Herald even dubbed us “A Hawk Match Made in Heaven” when they ran our engagement story—our mascot was the Skyhawk, naturally.

Since then, life has been anything but ordinary.

Rasmus’ basketball career took us around the world—from Denmark to Australia to New Zealand. We spent six years chasing big dreams and living abroad, soaking up every bit of the adventure. But in 2023, we made the choice to come home to New Mexico, ready to plant roots and start the next chapter.

These days, Rasmus has officially retired from professional basketball and made a huge leap into the corporate world. After sending over 200 job applications, he landed an amazing medical sales role with Stryker—and he’s already up for a promotion. Watching him shine in this new arena has been such a proud and full-circle moment for us.

He’s still the grounded, steady presence in our life—my ultimate teammate in both love and real life. And now, with a baby girl on the way, I get to watch him step into fatherhood, too. I have no doubt he’s going to be the best dad.
